Sovereign is set in the fictional world of Samond, on the Antoran peninsula - an area roughly the size of the Balkans. It is home to native feudal kingdoms Astalore and Entador, and houses colonies of the Vefali Sultanate and Salvatorian Empire. It is bordered to the North by the dangerous wilderness of Zycharia. The Skogarv Clans and the Kingdom of Stormbreak live on the nearby Jagged Isles.
