After Event Update: Iron League Assailants

Astalore and Entador dispatched armies to face the coalition of the Merchant Rebellion in open battle. In a shocking upset - the Rebellion was able to defeat the main body of the allied forces with the aid of the Iron League using foreign weapons, before descending on a small contingent of soldiers left behind to defend a critical strategic juncture. Though they smashed against the allied line, they struggled to bring their full strength to bear in the aftermath of the previous fighting. Thanks to the staggering heroism of the few soldiers who remained to defend, the Rebellion was unable to secure or depart the area before a relief force led by Duke Alban arrived to crush the disorganized Merchant Rebellion - ending the conflict at last.

In the aftermath of the battle, the following news becomes known:

The Merchant Rebellion is broken! Their forces are scattered and disorganized, perhaps some will survive in the countryside for a time to come harassing small caravans, but they are largely crushed. The Iron League, though much of its forces devastated, survives bloody and bruised in its fortified mountain settlements supported by the influx of heavy weapons.

Due to some catastrophic internal incident, the Salvatorian Colony of Hadria, in its entirety, has been cast out from the Empire. The vast majority of its citizens have been stripped of their citizenship, and it has declared independence. Governor Cicero died during the transition, and Cazador Manus has declared themselves leader of the new city state. They have issued a warning to the Kingdom’s of Astalore and Entador: “Recognize our sovereignty, or we will accept your declaration of war.” Rumors spread of a Second Incursion, and many expect the city will soon boast a new name.

By no means a comprehensive list, the following individuals are recognized for heroism:

-Sir Todd of Entador who shored up the defenses, took command, and defended tooth and nail. It is said he accepted knighthood following the aftermath of the Salvatorian Blackout.
-Sir Taiga of Entador who defended tooth and nail, proving himself again an indomitable survivor willing to face any danger.
-Sister Vivian Grey whose talents for healing and protection proved absolutely vital.
-Sergeant Saud Valtus of Astalore, who led the last soldiers of Astalore in the name of House Lyndmere, and bought precious time for an attack against the enemy’s weapons.
-Holland, citizen of Salvatora, who took the fight to the enemy when none others could, and seized a dangerous enemy weapon.
-Robin the Taller, who participated in a daring raid to seize a dangerous enemy weapon.

Though these individuals have been recognized, other names including Vincent, Ald, Angerona, Alphonse, Sui Liu, and Krill fought bravely, it is likely the case without the contributions of even one of these number, certain defeat would have followed.

Ald Blackthorn and Vincent will stand trial for attempted murder. Due to the circumstances of their crimes, they will be judged twice - once by a lord of each Kingdom. The Church of Valra reminds all that harming those under its care is a grievous act which it will not abide. However, it insists mercy be practiced, and consideration be afforded for their brave defense of the strategic juncture.

Several members of Clan Ripjaw were captured following conflict with the allied forces. It is said they betrayed the coalition.
